The use of a shallow depth of field and the blown highlights fading into the bokeh of the background enhance the sense of hard won peace. The off-centre composition in the square frme adds just enough tension to keep the image from slipping into 'chocolate-box' territory but doesn't spoil the overwhelmingly tranquil feel.
